- Describe the part. Enter thickness, material velocities and the weld bevel, then choose the probe, wedge and beamset.
- Check coverage. Open Tools, Coverage to see which weld zones each beam reaches and how much sensitivity is lost to attenuation and skips.
- Build the plan. Open Inspection plan, choose the standard, enter the real weld length and press Update. Red zones are below the minimum coverage and must be fixed or accepted explicitly.
- Preview. Use Simulate this zone and the A-scan simulator to see the expected echo; it is a planning aid and does not replace calibration on a real reference block.
- Take it to site. Print or save the PDF; on a phone the tables show as cards and the checklist can be ticked. Subscribers can save plans to the account and compare two plans side by side.
- Verify. Every constant behind these numbers is an assumption listed in the verification log until it has been checked against a real result. Follow your written procedure and the edition of the standard in force.
